Jon R. Grace, MD
Pulmonologist
Jon R. Grace, MD earned his medical degree from the University of California San Diego. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC).
At UPMC Dr. Grace was able to grow his interest in critical care and found a love for pulmonary medicine. He went on to continue his training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). He has published several reviews and a book chapter on asthma phenotypes and severe asthma management. Prior to graduating he helped form a collaboration with a deep learning engineering group and authored a grant application that was awarded funding by GlaxoSmithKline to investigate the potential uses for deep learning algorithms on CT scans in patients with severe asthma on biologic medications.
Since transitioning to Alaska in 2020, Dr. Grace has worked primarily in an ICU capacity but found himself missing the long-term connection with patients. He is thrilled to be able to join AAIC to offer the full breadth of pulmonary services to the community from asthma to COPD, pleural disease, ILD, lung masses and more.
