LaDonna is a registered, licensed dietitian. She spent 9 years on active duty with the United States Air Force and earned an associate’s degree in information systems technology, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration. In 2007, she transferred into the Alaska Air National Guard to pursue her dream of becoming a registered dietitian. LaDonna’s passion for allergies began after her son was diagnosed with several life threatening food allergies. She earned a bachelor’s degree in dietetics from Kansas State University and was initiated into the Omicron Theta Chapter of Kappa Omicron Nu National Honor Society and Pinnacle National Honor Society for academic achievement. She went on to receive a graduate certificate in dietetics with an emphasis in school food service and child nutrition education from Utah State University. In August of 2015, LaDonna will receive a master’s degree in dietetic administration. She worked as the Dietitian as well as the Food and Menu Manager for the Anchorage School District from 2012-2015. She has volunteered her time in various organizations such as the Alaska School Nutrition Association, Alaska Food Policy Council, the Municipality of Anchorage Let’s Move Cities and Towns taskforce, and as a preceptor for the University of Alaska Anchorage Dietetics Internship Program.
